How's that GUT INSTINCT treating you?
Isn’t it interesting how we hand over our body to the next cleanse and detox without actually knowing our bodies?
Even though we seem to be edging closer to connection, at times it seems we are further away from ourselves.
Collecting symptoms of a body that has become deficient, stressed, weak and full of pathology, and then bypassing those symptoms out onto the next trend is not a vibe. It's a short-term comfort to an underlying disconnect. An underlying opportunity to fine tune this container of your consciousness.
Let's just have a moment of silence for that for a second… the container of your consciousness. Without it, YOU would not exist.

The gut is a part of us that we tend to explore when it calls us out with some BS (pun intended).
Every single part of the body is an ecology of its own. Each part of you is uniquely intwined with emotion and mind. How curious that that seems to be the pathology of humanity. Doing something about something when something becomes a problem. What happens if we create an awareness around things, in this case the body, that give us leverage in how we wish to experience it? Just a thought.
Talking about thought, let's talk gut for a second. ALOT of humans have ‘gut’ issues. ALOT. And ALOT of people have gut issues that are not even aware they have gut issues.
You see, the gut has a lot more to do with your body than your morning toilet habits, or lack of. The gut also has a marked effect on the function of other parts of yourself that can start being a pain in the a**. Literally and figuratively, and we are talking all things mind and body. Mind also matters here and can have a distinctive effect on your gut health. Have you not ever thought of something that is less than desirable? A worry? A concern? And immediately felt it in your gut? That's the body of the mind and body connection, baby.
You can not escape it.
The body is a perfectly architected chariot of divinity. A container of greatness and the highest embodiment of spiritual technology. A perfect ecology of the terrain of your consciousness, but how conscious of it are you?
The body and only the body, is how we experience our unique thread of consciousness. The mind and its myriad of possible phenomenon. Talking on the mind, it is said that the gut is our second “brain”. The links between our gut, mood, digestion, emotions, mind and intuitive wit are undeniable . Both scientifically and experientially. But how healthy is yours?
In this class we will be talking about:

Did you know that low-grade intestinal inflammation are implicated in a growing number of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases? That’s a problem.
And also that gut microbiome associations are consistent across patients with intestinal disease (Crohn’s disease, UC, IBS) and the general population ranging from diabetes to arthritis and other undesirables?
Gut dysbiosis (imbalance of microbial species due to a reduction in microbial diversity within certain bodily microbiomes) and associated inflammation have also been implicated in cancer and cardiometabolic disorders?
HUGE.
What about some of these other things we ‘think’ we have no control over?
I mean, I could go on and on and on. This is also bigger than biology. It's bigger than our collective disconnect from the body even though we think we are on the ‘wellness’ train.
It has a lot of roots in the disconnect between mind and body. How does this disconnect manifest in you?
What do you notice about being in your body when life is kicking you in the butt?
A lot is self-evident if you are aware enough.
But are you?
Let's get your gut right.
If you want to ‘follow your gut’, you actually need a healthy gut. Sorry not sorry.
Biology gets to be sexy. YOUR biology gets to be sexy….
Dr. Michelle Patrick is a self-mastery revolutionist. She is a clinical doctor of naturopathic and Chinese medicine, studying at Westminster and Kingston University, and The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. As well as her clinical practice, Michelle is an experienced researcher, lecturer and self-mastery coach, with a belief that the human body is capable of great self-healing when the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies are aligned and treated as a whole as opposed to symptomatically.
Through her dedicated clinical practice and teachings, she awakens this capability through her patients and clients, by not only supporting them with treatment application, but providing them with a framework that supports an empowered role in their own radical realization and mastery.
Michelle encourages self-observation and self actualization in the re-education of the human form from a poetic and philosophical perspective, re-igniting awe and empowering the activation of the inner physician. This allows people to feel in control of their physical, emotional, and mental healing journeys, inspiring radical self-love along the way. Traditional means of education can be disempowering. Through her dedicated vision and poignant teachings, Michelle encourages self-mastery as a way of not only changing her clients’ worlds, but the world itself.
